- Nahanni, Northwest Territories, Canada: One of the largest national parks in the world, it is nearly the size of Switzerland, is the quintessential Canadian wilderness. One of the greatest rivers flows through mountainous landscapes, canyons and over the Virginia Falls. We shared the world with grizzly bears, moose and other wildlife and 170 species of birds on our first canoe river adventure in Canada.
- KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Charged by a rhino: The rhino charged, one ton of power headed straight for me. At the last moment I leapt to the side and he thundered past me in a cloud of dust that left me breathless and in awe. To this day I struggle with the fact that these tremendous and powerful animal are being slaughtered by man for their horns. Only a rhino needs its horn.

- Australia. Scuba Diving in Great Barrier Reef: There is something magical about swimming in the oceans. To enter a world of mysterious life and wonder. We spent several days at sea, diving with the creatures of the sea and exploring the corals and reefs.
